At the step 2 of 3 in ABC Wizard, when the option “Auto compute stepped cap” is selected, the sketch of stepped cap will show up on top of the pier cap. Click the button Customize Steps, a new window will pop up, allowing you to input minimum height of steps, minimum height increment, and step height rounded up to.

After you finish the ABC Wizard, click the button Edit Bearing/Steps under Substructure Tab, you will find more details about the auto generated steps, and manually make adjustment as needed.
